Köprülü Canyon
The Basics
Köprülü Canyon (also written Koprulu Canyon, or Köprülü Kanyon in Turkish) is renowned as one of the best—and most picturesque—destinations for white-water rafting in Turkey. Full-day rafting tours typically depart from Antalya, Kemer, or Belek and often include a chance to swim in the river, climb through the canyon, or enjoy lunch at one of the many waterfront fish restaurants. Thrill-seekers can also enjoy activities including canyoning, quad-bike excursions, or buggy safaris along the Koprucay River, stopping to swim or hike around the riverside.

Things to Know Before You Go
Rafting tours in Köprülü Canyon include full instruction and all equipment—no experience is necessary.
There are numerous restaurants along the main section of the canyon, but it’s best to bring your own water and supplies, especially if you’re visiting independently.
Due to the natural terrain, Köprülü Canyon is not wheelchair-accessible, and tours may not be suitable for younger children.
How to Get There
Köprülü Canyon National Park is located 43.5 miles (70 kilometers) northeast of Antalya. Buses run from Antalya to Beşkonak village on the edge of the national park, where minibuses and taxis head to the canyon in season. Most convenient is to visit with your own transport or as part of a tour.

When to Get There
Rafting season in Köprülü Canyon runs from April to October, and the canyon can get crowded, especially in the peak months of July and August—be sure to book your tour in advance. Out of season, it’s still possible to explore the national park, although available activities will depend on the weather.
Köprülü Canyon National Park
The forested wilderness of Köprülü Canyon National Park offers plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities, including hiking, canyoning, rafting, camping, and horseback riding. Also worth a visit is Selge Antique City, an ancient Roman city, home to well-preserved ruins that include an amphitheater and aqueduct.
