Well organised
Donata_G
, Sep 2021
Everything was organised well, the host Kris was attentive and funny, knows a lot of interesting facts. The place is amazing, so worth to go there even if the trip is long. However, if you can afford, try to spend a night or two there. Just to have time to enjoy :) please note that ladies should wear a skirt or a dress below knees in the monasteries. Not pants. Or if you wear them, just have a scarf to cover the legs. Thank you, organisers!

The trip was unbelievable, the monasteries were beyond expectation. Everything was organised extremely well. The train tickets, meeting us in Kalambaka, travel thru Meteora snd lastly our guide…. Chris was fantastic, a great sense of humour and his knowledge of the history associated with the area is superb. This is not to be missed! Thank you Chris and Meteora Thrones for a wonderful day and very interesting day!

Although the train takes a long time and ends up getting delayed along the trip, this is a memorable tour! Our guide in Meteora was great and the scenery is breathtaking. The monasteries are amazing to see. A must do trip!

Late

Train arrived 2 hours late. I don't recommend to use the transportation by train as it appears to be unreliable.
icon Response from Host , Jul 2021
Dear Wish , Thank you for your feedback. Trains all over the world are sometimes LATE ! Safety and timing (1 hour faster than any other way of transportation in Greece from Athens to Meteora) is our priority , taking into consideration the Greek roads. This is our top priority for our customers. We apologize that this happened to you , Mr Wish. Regards

Unforgettable heights of nature

Being at the peaks of the enormous stony formations was an incredible experience. Sublime if a word could describe it. The monasteries make it the more special and holy. God is there with you.

AMAZING Tour! A must visit!

I had the most amazing tour with such an amazing, knowledgeable and fun tour guide, Cristos (Cris). Due to the lack of tourists at the time, I was lucky enough to have the tour all by myself, which was amazing!! I got to see so much and Cristos even took me to some off the tour spots. The monasteries are absolutely beautiful and the views are out of this world! This is a must visit if you are in Greece. The train ride is quite long (4 hours), but it is so worth it! Just bring a book/listen to music or just fall a sleep. I would even take the tour again to be honest, it’s that beautiful!

Absolutely take this tour even if the train isn’t running and you end up on the bus. Go with the flow. Amazing experience. Guides are outstanding and humorous and accommodating of photo taking and local eateries.

Long ride but worth it

A very well organised tour. The train ride from Athens was a long one so take plenty of snacks. The tour guide is waiting for you on your arrival and then the journey to the three monasteries and viewpoints is worth it.
