Excellent personalized tour

Communications with them was top-notch and occurred a couple of times prior to the morning pickup at our hotel. Charles, our tour guide picked us up in a nice, clean, organized van and started our tour promptly. He's a military history buff with, I believe, a degree in history. He spoke fluent English and is an incredible wealth of information not just with the D-Day Landings, but through the different eras of WWI, American Civil War, etc. The entire tour took the whole day and we covered the coastal area of Normandy and the country side. It was very thorough and his love and enthusiasm to the history of the Landings made this a very worthwhile tour. Highly recommend them and look forward to engaging them the next time I'm back!
Overlord Tour D-Day beaches

So glad we booked this tour for our visit to the D-Day beaches (Arromanches, Omaha, Utah, Pointe Du Hoc). The tour guide not only had facts, but stories, which really made it even more engaging. My teenage daughter enjoyed it thoroughly, which says a lot for the presentation. The tour guide had a picture booklet full of illustrations on what he was describing, also helpful for the learning process to engage multiple senses. I just don't think I would have come away with half of what I did if I had been on my own reading plaques. And then he knew all of the quick routes and good parking spots for each site. We were there the day before the 75th anniversary, so the sites were definitely crowded. It was so helpful that he could drop us off and he would park while we got to maximize our time at the site. It was so worth the money.
Best Tour of Our Trip

Four of us had the good fortunate to get Tommy for our tour of the American Sector of the Normandy beaches. He was so fun to be with, so personable, and most of all so knowledgeable. He is a true historian of WWII Normandy. It was such an enjoyable day - and one of our party's father was a physician who helped open the hospital for German war prisoners in Normandy and Tommy was able to get information about the location. We were in France for two weeks and this was the best of our tours. Having a private tour gave us the ability to see exactly what we wanted. Thanks Overlord Tours and Tommy.
