Nice to have such tour if you know nothing about the colleges. It is recommended to have a river tour to be combined

Great way to see Cambridge Hightlights

This is a very good way to learn the histories and unique aspects of Cambridge U. and its many individual colleges. Especially if you are only in Cambridge for a day, it's a way to make sure you see some of the city's highlights in an efficient, informed way. Our guide had done undergrad and grad work at two different colleges so she able to answer questions about student life, etc. as well as typical tour questions.

A wonderful overview of Cambridge

The tour was very interesting, led by Francesco, who was friendly and very knowledgeable about the sites that we saw. A wonderful way to see Cambridge for the first time and find out a bit about life as a student as well as the history of how the City and University developed. Well paced and a reasonable group size so we were never having to strain to get close enough to hear.

For me, the most memorable are Sophie’s own experience and university life she shared during the tour.

Francesco, a PhD student at Cambridge, was a wonderfully knowledgeable guide, sharing a wealth of history about the university from its founding, to the rivalry between its colleges, to academics and architecture. Wear comfortable shoes and be prepared to walk the full 90 minutes. You will see and learn a lot. Highly recommend.

My family and I went on this tour with Becky as our guide and It was absolutely fantastic. She was knowledgeable on all topics, memorizing multitudes of fun facts and dates, all while maintaining an eloquent and poised speaking presence. She was honest and kind; I would have taken the same exact tour multiple times. The sights were phenomenal and absolutely breathtaking. It was such an incredibly pleasurable experience.

The tour did not involve seeing the inside of kings college which was not clear when booking. As soon as I had paid in small writing it said that it didn’t include this key part which was the main part we wanted to see on the tour . Very misleading especially as it is not open to the public on Sundays

The guide was very knowledged about Cambridge, both its present and past. She was also quite talkative and friendly. Got to ask a few questions and learned more about how a life at cambridge is and what it involves. We were asked to leave the name of the guide in the review, but unfortunately we don't remember her name as it has been a while since the tour. It seemed like she would benefit from reviews so if it helps here is a tiny description of our guide: From India, and finishes her Postgrad soon. Not tall, but not very short for a girl either. Names that pop up in our heads are Sarah or Mia, but again we don't remember the exact name. Great guide though :)

It was a pretty large group of more than 13 pax. Thus the walk really wasn’t a pleasant one as I had to struggle to listen to what the guide was talking about. I wished they had informed us about the open day for the colleges as we were unable to enter King’s college which was the main reason as to why I booked the tour. If given a choice, I would have chosen to visit Cambridge on another day. As open day meant there were parents and students all over the place, and it was just too crowded to enjoy what was supposed to be a great day. It’s a pity. Though the company did offer to refund partial of the tour seeing that we were unable to enter King’s college.
