Tour ends at Myeongdong or Seoul City Hall

Your tour begins with pickup from your central Seoul hotel. After meeting your guide and small group of up to 15 people, head straight to the first stop of the day—Gyeongbokgung Palace in time to watch the Changing of the Guards Ceremony passing by the Deoksugung Palace, Namdaemun, and Seoul Station along the way.

Make a quick stop at the Blue House, the presidential residence of the Republic of Korea. Continue to Jogyesa Temple, where you can learn more about Korea’s religious and spiritual heritage.

Stop for lunch (included) at a local restaurant and sample Korean specialties such as stone pot ‘bibimbap’, then enjoy some free time to browse the shops in Myeongdong, one of Seoul's trendiest shopping districts. In the afternoon, continue to Insadong, enjoy free time to explore the antique shops, art galleries, craft stores, and traditional Korean tea houses.

Meet back up with the rest of your tour group and set out to discover the city’s lively markets. Visit the Mang-won Traditional Outdoor Market, the eclectic Gwangjang Market, famous for its textile market, and Homeplus.

After a busy day of shopping and sightseeing, sit down to tuck into a delicious dinner of Korean barbecue, soybean stew, and rice.

Your tour ends with drop-off at your hotel.

Please note: Gyeongbokgung Palace is closed on Tuesdays, in which case you’ll visit Deoksugung Palace instead.

We paid for a all day English speaking tour. We’re experienced & frequent world travelers and have used visitor in other countries. Here’s what happened: We shared the morning tour with a Japanese speaking tour. Japanese speaking tour guide was engaging, talkative and animated throughout the tour. The English speaking guide did not initiate conversation or give information as we drove through the city ... oftentimes guides speak to the history and tidbits about current events. It worsened as the day progressed. After lunch, we rode in a SUV to the markets and dinner - the tour guide only spoke to the driver in Korean and Only responded questions (initiated by us). Hopefully, this feedback will help in training your tour guides.
